This playbook is what the community has collectively figured out over thousands of hours, documented in one place for the first time. It covers the full production stack: server selection and sizing (the exact Hetzner tier for each usage pattern), zero-trust network configuration with Tailscale and UFW (zero public attack surface), Docker volume ownership and restart policy (the silent failures that take hours to debug), Caddy reverse proxy with auto-TLS and rate limiting, Telegram webhook setup, persistent state architecture, and a lightweight monitoring stack using Uptime Kuma and a Docker stats cron.
Everything here comes from a live running setup: 16GB Hetzner VPS, multiple concurrent agents, bots and gateways, zero unplanned downtime. The exact commands, in order, with the why explained for each one.
