The Problem

You have airline miles and flexible travel dates, but finding the cheapest day to fly means clicking through the calendar one date at a time. For a family of 5, that's hundreds of clicks across multiple destinations. Nobody has time for that.

Generic AI tools give you estimates: "Flights to Aruba are typically 30,000-50,000 miles." But what are they actually on June 29 for 5 passengers on your account? Nobody can tell you. Until now.

What FamFare Does

FamFare turns your OpenClaw agent into a flight optimizer. It:

• Logs into your United MileagePlus account and searches with your real miles balance
• Compares per-day pricing across your entire travel window
• Searches up to 3 destinations side-by-side in a single report
• Filters for nonstop flights so you're only seeing direct options
• Calculates total cost for your full travel party (miles + fees x number of travelers)
• Delivers a ranked comparison report right in your chat

What Makes It Different

Other travel tools search public data. FamFare searches as you. Your agent acts on your behalf, like a human assistant logging into your account and comparing options, but faster. For a family of 5, that means finding that shifting your departure by one day saves 72,000 miles.

How It Works

1. Set up your profile: Travelers, home airport, preferences. Saved for future searches.
2. Connect your account: United MileagePlus credentials stored in your Mac's encrypted Keychain.
3. Say "find the cheapest flights": FamFare logs in, searches across dates and destinations, and delivers a ranked comparison.
4. Refine and decide: "What about August instead?" or "Add Fort Myers." Iterate without starting over.

Current Scope

Phase 1 is optimized for United MileagePlus flight searches. Additional airlines and hotel search planned for future updates.

Security

• Read-only by default. Will never book or purchase anything unless you explicitly change the access mode.
• Credentials in macOS Keychain. Encrypted at rest. Never stored in plaintext files.
• No data collection. No telemetry, analytics, or usage data sent anywhere.

Important Disclosures

• Early-access software. In active development. Always verify pricing directly with the airline before booking.
• Automated access. Your agent accesses airline websites through browser automation on your behalf. Some websites prohibit automated access. You are responsible for compliance.
• Account risk. Automated tools may result in rate limiting or account restrictions.
• Not a travel agency. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any airline or loyalty program.

Who Built This

Built by a couple who wanted a better way to search for flights with miles. She became the product owner, he managed the build, and their AI agent wrote the code. FamFare started as a tool for their own family trips, then became a skill anyone can use.
