Agent Cost Analyzer
SkillSkill
See exactly what your AI agent costs you — per task, per model, per day
About
Stop guessing what your agent costs. Agent Cost Analyzer tracks every token, every task, every dollar — automatically.
Install it. Your agent starts logging costs immediately. Ask "how much am I spending?" and get clean reports broken down by task type, model, and time period.
What you get:
- Automatic cost tracking per task, per model, per session
- Daily, weekly, and monthly spending reports
- Budget system with smart alerts (80% / 95% / 100%)
- Waste detection — compaction waste, overkill tasks, idle spending
- Optimization recommendations in 3 tiers
- Natural language — just talk to your agent, no slash commands
- Current pricing tables for Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google models
How it works: It's a SKILL.md that teaches your agent to be cost-aware. Every interaction gets logged with token counts, model used, task category, and dollar cost. Your agent builds a spending profile over time and gives you actionable insights.
Budget alerts: Set a daily or monthly cap. Your agent warns you at 80%, flags you at 95%, and reports when you exceed. Never get surprised by a bill again.
Pairs with ModelMesh: Cost Analyzer shows you where the money goes. ModelMesh ($19) auto-routes tasks to the right model to cut that spend. Together they're a complete cost optimization system. Most users save 40-60% in the first week.
Zero setup. Install the skill, say "start tracking my costs," done.

Finally know what my agents actually cost

5.0The spending.json append-only log pattern is exactly the right architecture for this — simple, durable, easy to query. The waste detection section is where this earns its stars: compaction waste tracking, overkill detection (flagging when Opus handles tasks that Haiku could do), idle cost from heartbeats. The example showing heartbeats on Opus at $0.07/each vs Haiku at $0.003 made me audit our cron setup immediately. Found $40/month in unnecessary Opus usage within the first day.
