Three-Tier Memory System
SkillSkill
Persistent, structured memory that actually scales — knowledge graph, daily notes, and tacit knowledge
About
Most AI memory is a flat text file that gets stale fast. This is a battle-tested three-layer system used by production OpenClaw agents.
Layer 1: Knowledge Graph — Entity-based storage using the PARA method (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives). Durable facts live in atomic JSON with access tracking and memory decay.
Layer 2: Daily Notes — Chronological timeline of events. The raw when layer that feeds fact extraction into the knowledge graph.
Layer 3: Tacit Knowledge — How your user operates. Patterns, preferences, and lessons learned — not facts about the world, but facts about the person.
Includes memory decay and recency weighting so stale info does not crowd out what matters. Facts never get deleted — they just fade from active retrieval until needed again.
Built for agents that need to remember across sessions, not just within them.
