Config Guard

If you have ever had your OpenClaw gateway refuse to start because of a typo in openclaw.json, this skill exists because of you.

Config Guard teaches your agent to verify every configuration change against the official OpenClaw documentation before applying it. Your agent fetches the live docs, confirms field names exist, validates value types, checks defaults, and identifies breaking changes before touching your config.

It covers everything: heartbeat settings, cron jobs, channel configs, model routing, session settings, hooks, and gateway options. The skill includes a mapping table that tells your agent exactly which doc page to fetch for any type of change.

You also get a common gotchas section covering the mistakes that crash gateways most often. Things like heartbeat target defaulting to none instead of last, strict validation rejecting unknown keys, and the difference between config.patch and config.apply.
