Agent Watchdog

Agent Watchdog is a lightweight monitoring utility for operators running OpenClaw-style agents and overnight automations. It reads JSONL activity logs, builds a morning brief, and sends Telegram alerts when failures or suspicious repeat patterns show up.

This is not being sold as a full observability stack. It is a small, direct operator tool for answering the real question fast: what happened, what failed, and what needs my attention?

The pack includes a Python script, install helpers for Mac/Linux and Windows, a config example, and a sample log you can use to test the workflow before wiring in your own logs.

Supported flows:

• send a morning brief to Telegram with python3 watchdog.py --morning-brief
• watch a log in real time with python3 watchdog.py --watch
• test Telegram setup with python3 watchdog.py --test
• write log entries with python3 watchdog.py --log-action NAME ACTION STATUS
• test against the included sample with python3 watchdog.py --morning-brief --log example_log.jsonl

Built-in anomaly logic:

• repeated action detection when the same action appears 5+ times by default
• immediate flagging of any fail status entry
• warning threshold stored in config for max_warns_per_10min
